Shootings involving young people leave families grieving, communities shaken, and futures unfinished. Through The Journey of a Godly Man, I'm bringing people together to listen, build relationships, and take meaningful action to help prevent youth gun violence.
Every young person deserves the opportunity to grow & live.
I come to this work as a father, pastor, Air Force veteran, and survivor of the Khobar Towers terrorist attack.
I know what it means for violence to interrupt a life. I know that surviving an event does not mean its impact is over. Families carry the grief. Survivors carry the memories. Communities carry questions that deserve our attention.
When I see young people involved in shootings—as victims or as those pulling the trigger—I think about the lives affected and the futures still worth fighting for.
I feel called to bring my experience, my voice, and my willingness to serve into this work. I want to help young people see a future worth living for and challenge the adults around them to take an active part in making that future possible.
This mission begins with listening, showing up, and asking what we can do together.

Founder, The Journey of a Godly Man

Make room for young people and families to share their experiences, concerns, and ideas—and help shape the response.
Bring churches, schools, families, and community partners into conversations that lead to relationships and shared responsibility.
Help young people recognize their value, consider the consequences of their decisions, and connect with trusted adults.
Encourage specific commitments, clear responsibilities, and continued follow-through.

Our first initiative is a clergy meeting in Cochran, Georgia, bringing faith leaders together to discuss shootings involving young people and the role churches can play in a coordinated community response.
The purpose is to listen, identify opportunities to serve, and begin developing practical commitments.
Lee welcomes opportunities to work with schools, churches, youth groups, and community organizations seeking to address shootings involving young people.
Drawing on his experience as a father, pastor, veteran, and terrorist attack survivor, he brings a personal perspective on the consequences of violence, the importance of purposeful decisions, and our responsibility to one another.
Together, we can explore a conversation or gathering suited to your audience, concerns, and goals.
